The organization aims to transform cancer control in Africa through collaboration in education, capacity building, research, advocacy and delivery of equitable and timely interventions to minimize the impact of cancer.  AORIC facilitates research and training and provides information on the prevention, early diagnosis, treatment and palliation of cancer.
