The CCISD, a non-profit corporation, has been developing and managing international health projects with partners in Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean and Canada. The Center is recognized for its effective intervention strategies for the response to AIDS, epidemiological surveillance and access to primary health care; and for its ability to manage large-scale initiatives working together with local populations. The projects include training of health professionals, building capacity for increased food security, improving health facilities, maternal and child health, and fighting against AIDS.
