The ICPA promotes the prevention of the use of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs as well as addictive behavior. The Commission provides education through conferences, seminars and workshops. ICPA advocates to governments, NGOs and civil society regarding alcohol, tobacco, drugs and other addictions. It promotes mentoring and service programs among youth, communities and educational institutions. Further, ICPA supports specific research programs in prevention and dissemination of evidence-based prevention methods and protocols.
