MASHAV’s work in Ethiopia focuses on program areas in which Israel has a comparative advantage and/or accumulated expertise. A variety of activities, mainly in the fields of agriculture, education and health, are supported both through in-country projects and trainings in Israel. Support activities include: eye health; training for the health systems personnel; small holder horticulture project; irrigation for small holder farms; urban agriculture; strengthening drought resilience, as well as trainings in an extensive list of fields. MASHAV works with several other development agencies, Israeli NGOs and local government offices in the country.
