Undergraduate programs of the Institute include: public health officer; environmental health science; doctor of medicine; doctor of dental medicine; pharmacy; nursing and many more. There are about 24 Masters programs including: MSc in environmental health science; environmental technology; public health in health planning, and health service management; monitoring and evaluation of health programs; health economics; management for health human resource; human nutrition; public health in health education and promotion; public health in epidemiology; general public health, medicine supply chain; drug quality management. PhD trainings in environmental health, human nutrition and tropical and infectious diseases are also offered. Research thematic areas of the Institute cover communicable and non-communicable diseases; food insecurity and nutritional problems with focus on children and women; maternal and new borne health problem; and child health.
