The Ujenzi Charitable Trust supports high-impact programs in maternal, newborn and child health, human rights, health worker training, and innovations and technology implementation research. Some of the programs that Ujenzi has enabled to reduce respiratory-related newborn morbidity and mortality; reduce maternal mortality and morbidity due to postpartum hemorrhage as well as address lack of access to anesthesia services. Moreover, the Trust supports commercial sex trafficking and its devastating effects on women and girls including intense psychological trauma and infectious disease(most notably HIV/AIDS), extensive physical injury, drug addiction, unwanted pregnancy and malnutrition.
